In figures
MSM is a sulphur-containing compound. The quantity stated always refers to the whole molecule, not to the sulphur alone. The sulphur is chemically bound within the molecule; no elemental sulphur is added.
g of MSM per day
divided into 2 × 1 g
% sulphur
proportion of the mass of an MSM molecule
Ingredient
without fillers or anti-caking agents
Calculated sulphur content based on the molecular formula C₂H₆O₂S (molar mass approximately 94 g/mol, of which sulphur accounts for approximately 32 g/mol).
Good to know
Behind these three letters lies a simple sulphur compound. Here are the key facts in brief.
The name
MSM stands for methylsulfonylmethane, also known chemically as dimethyl sulfone. It is a small organic sulphur compound.
In food
MSM has been detected in small quantities in foodstuffs, such as milk. However, the general sulphur content of a foodstuff says nothing about its MSM content.
Also found in the environment
MSM also occurs in the environment and has been detected in sea air and rain. The MSM used in food supplements, on the other hand, is produced industrially.
The raw material
What distillation means in the context of MSM: it is the purification step following production.
Produced first, then purified
For food supplements, MSM is produced industrially from a sulphur-containing precursor. It must then be purified.
Crystallisation or distillation
During crystallisation, MSM is extracted from a solution as a solid. In distillation, it is vaporised and then condensed again.
Our MSM
Our MSM is purified by distillation after production and is sourced from the USA. The pouch contains only MSM, with no other ingredients.
Pack sizes
Choose the size to suit your stock. The composition is identical.
100 g
50 daily servings
The smaller pouch to try it out.
300 g
150 daily servings
The larger supply with the lower price per daily serving.
Identical composition
100% MSM
Both sizes contain the same powder. The daily serving remains at 2 × 1 g.
Important information

Reports have included gastrointestinal complaints, skin irritation and allergic reactions. Discontinue use if you experience any adverse reactions. The safety of long-term use has not been sufficiently established.
Not a substitute for medical treatment
MSM is not a substitute for medical treatment. Please do not stop taking prescribed medication on your own initiative. Health claims are not permitted for MSM.

No. MSM consists of approximately 34% sulphur. Mathematically speaking, 2 g of MSM contain around 680 mg of chemically bound sulphur.
After production, MSM is purified. In the case of our MSM, this is done by distillation: the MSM is vaporised and then condensed again.
Our MSM comes from the USA. It is produced industrially and then purified by distillation. The pouch contains only MSM, with no other ingredients.
MSM has been detected in small quantities in foods, for example in milk. The overall sulphur content of a food does not indicate its MSM content.
No. No health claims are authorised for MSM in the EU. We therefore make no promises regarding its effects.
The product is intended for adults. We do not recommend taking it during pregnancy or while breastfeeding without first consulting a doctor. If you are taking medication, check with your doctor or at a pharmacy before use.

Please stick to the recommended daily intake of 2 × 1 g. Do not exceed this amount.
Moisture can cause clumping. This alone is not a reliable indicator of whether the powder is still fit for consumption. If you notice an unusual odour, discolouration or moisture ingress, please stop using it and contact us.
