Good to know
A fast-growing tree whose leaves have long been used as a vegetable in the tropics.
The horseradish tree
Moringa oleifera is native to the region between north-eastern Pakistan and north-western India. Today, the tree grows in many tropical and subtropical regions, including East Africa. The German name ‘Meerrettichbaum’ (horseradish tree) comes from the pungent taste of the root.
Leaves as a vegetable
The leaves are prepared as a vegetable in various regions of Asia and Africa. The young, elongated fruits are also eaten.
Only the leaves
The contents of the capsule consist exclusively of dried and ground moringa leaves. The root, bark, flowers and seeds are not used.
From leaf to capsule
From the harvest in Tanzania to filling in Germany.
Wild-harvested
Our moringa leaves come from wild-harvested sources in Tanzania. They are harvested by hand.
Dried and ground
After harvesting, the leaves are dried and finely ground. The powder is packaged in Germany.
Leaf powder, not an extract
For our powder, the dried leaves are ground. In contrast, an extract involves extracting soluble components from the plant material, for example using water or alcohol.
A natural product
The colour and smell of leaf powder may vary slightly from harvest to harvest.
